Finding a qualified contractor is the first step toward quality control of any construction project, including the purchase and installation of awnings. Your reward will be the timely and successful completion of your project with a contractor you know and trust. Start with these three simple questions you should ask before you hire an awning contractor:
All California building contractors must be able to provide proof of a Contractor's License, Performance Bond, Business and Vehicle Liability
Coverage, City Business License, Seller's Permit, Workers Compensation Coverage and OSHA Safety Program. Few property owners
are aware that they may suffer unrecoverable damage and loss or be held liable for losses suffered by others, including workers on
their property, when they hire an unlicensed, uninsured or underinsured contractor. Superior Awning maintains a full and current
portfolio of the required licenses, permits and insurance policies and will provide details upon request. Beware the contractor
who does not have every component of a complete license and insurance portfolio. Excuses such as "I am exempt from Workers Compensation
because I do not technically have employees" should be view skeptically. If uninsured workers are hurt on your property,
you are liable regardless of by whom they are technically employed. Check your contractor's record. Call or log on
to the California Contractors State License Board to verify license status and check for complaints and citations (our CSLB# is 589431.) Visit

™
Superior Awning has been operating in Southern California for over a quarter century, combining a team of trained master craftsmen
with a carefully selected line of the highest quality materials available. We are committed to the communities we serve, using
well-established, reputable suppliers and insist that they stand behind their products as we stand behind ours. We have always
manufactured, installed and serviced our own accounts and have never used subcontractors. We serve the full spectrum of awning
clients, from single-family homeowners to major retail, commercial and industrial corporations, with the same attention to quality,
detail and client satisfaction. While many of these clients choose our company for our competitive combination of price, quality
and reliability, most large or high-profile organizations are additionally bound by rigorous supplier qualification processes designed
to eliminate the risk of hiring unscrupulous or negligent contractors, which may put shareholder assets and company reputations at
risk. In fact, very few contractors are able to qualify to work with such organizations due to license issues, inadequate insurance,
poor safety records, etc. We are proud to have consistently won contracts in competitive bidding contests with thousands of
discriminating corporations and organizations. Please visit our High Profile Projects page for a sample listing of corporate
and government clients.

Premium-grade materials from reputable suppliers with factory warranties are the foundation of every awning we build. Fixed canvas window awnings, door awnings, patio covers, carports, covers and enclosures are built from precision welded galvanized steel frames with triple-layer corrosion protection and professional-grade outdoor paint. These structurally sturdy, durable-finished frames are then carefully "skinned" with custom-tailored canvas covers made from genuine Sunbrella® solution-dyed outdoor canvas and premium Gore Tenara® outdoor thread, engineered to withstand UV light, chemical cleaners, saltwater, rot and mold. Retractable shade products including lateral arm retractable patio covers, skylight canopies, retractable window awnings and retractable drop shades begin with precision engineered Italian-made retractable hardware with ultra-durable, powder-coated finish. Retractable framework is fitted with custom-tailored Sunbrella® canvas, designed specifically to withstand not only weather but the motion, friction and encasement of retractable operation. We use only Somfy® products to motorize our retractable awnings and have completed the technical certification program required to earn "Expert" designation in design and installation of Somfy® products. Aluminum patio covers and carports are built from heavy-gauge, powder-coated aluminum with sturdy steel uprights and built-in drainage systems. Aluminum window awnings and door awnings are constructed from heavy-gauge aluminum alloy with elegant, baked enamel finishes and a wide array of designer colors. Material quality is clearly integral to the durability and longevity of any permanent, outdoor structure. Superior Awning's use of premium, technologically advanced materials sets our products apart within the industry and ensures that your investment will be both beautiful AND durable.
